Last week the lovely Thelma recommended a book for me to read. I’ve not read it as I kept on falling asleep. I have however had a busy reading champ week.
I’ve enjoyed workshops with some really talented local writers as well as planning The book group that’s not a book group but kinda is a book group. This will be starting in early June time. Keep an eye on social media – I promise it will be fun.
Also, pop along Shetland Library and take a moment to share a library or reading secret – it’s better out than in after all.
We’ve been holding secrets and confessions workshops as part of the Scottish Book Trust story gathering for 2016.
It’s made me think about reading secrets and that inspired my reading choice this week.
It was ultimately guilt that made me pick the graphic novel Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde adaptation. Why would I feel guilty for that?
Here comes the confession…
I studied Cultural Studies with the University of the Highlands and Islands. I got an A for a book review of the Stevenson classic.
I never read the book.
Aah. I feel better now.
No I don’t…
It’s Friday the 13th!
